In the State of Florida, becoming a real estate sales associate, also referred to a real estate agent or realtor, requires completion of a Florida approved 63-credit hour pre-license education for sales associates.
R. A. Thomas Educational Center offers this course in classroom, distant learning, hybrid and livestream. This course is good for two (2) years from the date of completion.

Exemption From 63-Credit Hour Education Requirement
Attorneys in good standing and active with the Florida Bar are exempt from the 63-credit hour sales associate pre-license course, but must make application to DBPR and pass the state exam. Attorneys seeking licensure as a sales associate should include their Florida Bar license number and information in Section III of the state application.
Any applicant who has a 4-year degree in Real Estate from an accredited institution of higher learning is exempt from the 63-credit hour sales associate pre-license course, but must make application to DBPR and pass the state exam. Applicants seeking licensure as sales associate should include their official transcripts from an accredited institution of higher learning.
